Hey everybody, i'm actively thinking about creating a social structure around 'funding'. Something like a 'broodfonds', where they who are willing(for example monthly) share a part of what they have moneywise to create a common amount. this amount would then be available for they who are participating. in my head this would not be a fixed amount but more in the idea of: 'give what you can, take what and when you need'
this way we can create some sort of caring safety net in which we can support each other, become part of each other practice and question (based on responsibly and communication) when money is needed, for example would i work a day more if that means that i can support someone who is at this point not able to? or can i share part of the funding i got, so that someone who did not get it also is able to for fill their plans. or can this be a way that i can get this specific material without creating a big project around it to get funding? and if so in which way can i contribute to this collective fund when i do not have to money to spare.
apart from the productive and social aspect of it i also believe it is an important reseach and challenge towards our economic structure where all our collective efforts constantly exist within the fundamental economic individuality which is the personal bank account.
i'm curious about your ideas and if some of you would be interested in practicing this idea together.
have a nice day! bo
I am also very interested to take part in this conversation. The last time that I met Bo, we also talked about this idea and we also discussed the possibility of a sharing system for materials and tools. I like this idea very much as well. But let's discuss this somewhere in the near future IRL?
